6 months countdown...

Today marks 6 months countdown till the big day.
6 months? woahhh...
There's still lots to do..

Lately, lots of ppl have been asking "How's the preparations for the big day?"
And my usual answer "Errmm...slowly but surely.."
Right.. let's see things that has been confirmed for the big day..

1) Hantarans- bought most of it.
2) Door gifts- still deciding how to tie the ribbon around it. Might add cake/cupcake.
3) Bajus- tailor booked. bought all kain. Will only go for fitting after raya (still got time to loose more inches!)
4) Photographer- booked. will meet up soon.
5) Videographer- will meet up soon.
6) Make-up artist- booked.
7) Venue- reception booked. nikah will be most likely at home.. still pending
8) Pelamin & deco- got some ideas. still looking around for items
9) Caterer- pending
10) Wedding cake- pending
11) Songs for the walk in , cut the cake & video- chosen!
12) Attire for flower girls & boys- pending!!
13) Bouquet- pending
14) nikah shoes- pending..
The list goes on...

Alamak..looks like lotsa things are still pending! Oh no!
My mom has been quite busy lately.. so gotta wait when both are free to check things/ meet ppl.

Since today is the final 6 months countdown, I've decided to give myself a treat.
After my IT training, I got my medie & pedie done..
The last I did was on my engagement day, so it's about time!
Then, I had my hair cut too.. hehe..
Well, there's 6 months for my hair to grow anyways..
Wonder which hairstyle would suit me by then?

Am meeting Mr Bert for our subway dinner tmrw.. *yeay*
So many stories to tell him.. can't wait!

Home Alone

Ma & Dad left to watch Siti's SATU show. Dzhofier was sent back to his parents.
Emer's working. Mr Bert is resting at his home.
Am all alone at home..

I thought maybe I could watch Transformers2 at Bukit Raja.
But..I don't wanna go alone! Plus, chances for the tix to be sold off is likely.
So, I be a good girl. I stay at home.

The past 2 days.. I have been sleeping & eating a lot!
I will take naps in the afternoon.. and I will have seconds or third rounds of food.
SO unproductive weekend! perrghh..

Anyways, my current project is to do a mock montage for the wedding.
The "growing-up" montage as they called it.
I still need to pick the best of the best pics of my life.. as I have too many to choose from.
If I have a choice, the montage about ME will be 10 mins long.. hahaha..
As for Mr Bert.. he has very few to choose from. Hence, he needs to get more from his home in KB.
So, it's still in progress.. and least I've finalize the timings of each song!

Alrighty.. that's all for now. Just wanted to fill my time while I am all alone at home.

dating time..

Just the other day, one of my teachers asked me
"Eh..when do you & your fiance go "paktoh" (dating)?"
"Erm..we'll meet up at least once a week. Usually over the weekend."
"HAH? Once a week only? Tak rindu ke?"
"Haha.. of course la rindu! But it's okay, later when we're married, everyday see each other mah.."

That's the thing about us. We don't meet up often.
If we're lucky, twice a week. If not, once.
The longest I didn't get to see him was for 5 weeks. But that was during the 'courting' period.
But, daily calls & sms is a must of course!
It feels like a LDR..(lost distance relationship), but both are in KL! ishish..

Today, as I was on the way to work , I got a call from Mr Bert and he sounded miserable.
" My cough worsen last night. Every other hour, I need to spit out the kahak. I didn't get enough sleep, etc etc.."
He was confiding about his night, and I was trying to comfort him, reminded him to see the docs & take medicine.
" Meen, this week I just wanna rest at home until my cough ease off. Is it okay we don't meet up this weekend, but next week, one of the nights we'll go dinner at subway, can?"
I smiled. "Oh course dia.. "

He knows how important it is for us to meet up. And the fact that he initiated the meet before I could suggest or ask him was very sweet of him.
Can't wait for our subway outing.. Get well soon dia!

It's just a dream..

I had a bad dream last night..
not really a nightmare..but it was bad..
I actually dreamt..of my ex! *gulps*

All I remembered was..Mr Bert & I was at a party at someone's home. And so happened 'Playdoe' was there (there's reasons behind that name..)
Anyways, the three of us somehow bumped into each other..
and, it was cold war between Mr Bert & him!

In my dream..Mr Bert was very the protective of me..
And Playdoe, on the other hand, was trying to "test" Mr Bert.. asking him about some of my favourite things & such.
It got into a point where Mr Bert wanted to challenge him..
I got panicky..............and woke up.

Woahh..bad dream!
Imagine if that were to happened in real life.
I mean, past is past la..
No doubt I have no more contact with Playdoe, but no fighting please..

I think this dreaming thingy is all due cause I accidentally saw pics of him on the web.
It was a photographer's site for heaven's sake!
I was thinking of an outdoor/indoor wedding shot.. and as I was browsing thru that photographer's page....... I saw his pic.
Him, his gf, & some friends. Taking a "friends only" photo shoot.
Terkejut beruk dibuatnye!

I went thru the pics..he looks the same.
Nothing changed, really.
His gf..well, she's pretty..no doubt!
The trendy-sexy-in fashion kind..just like him.

It got me to thinking.. we (me & playdoe) were never meant for each other.
We were TOTAL opposites.. despite our interest in music.
But other than that..it was a 180 degrees turn.

In a way, am glad that nothing happened further.
I am happy that he has found someone new, someone more suited for him.
And I am truly blessed to have Mr Bert in my life.

Going thru my previous entries waayy back in 2006, at that time I couldn't understand why all the challenges & dramas had to happened.
But now, I understand & I totally agree, God definitely knows whats best for us.
And I am thankful..syukur alhamdulillah...

JB Road trip

Finally, I have the time to myself to blog!
This week..somehow I am such in a "lazy" mood.. at home & at work.
Maybe it's part of PMS.. lambat la this month..cehh..

Anyways, here are some pics of my road trip to JB last week.

Am so proud of Romeo (my car). JB is the furthest place it has been driven to.

and yes, also to Mr Bert, who drove us safely to JB.

And surprise surprise, I didn't sleep at all during the trip.

We talk, we sang.. Emer slept most of the time at the back seat.

The night reception, we decided to wear our engagement attire again. (although the theme was supposed to be pink).

Yelah.. still wanna feel like "newly engaged" all over again. tee hee..

On the way back to KL, Emer, Mr Bert & I played the "alphabet" game through out the journey.

We have to name a song, a movie & a place, based from the chosen alphabet.

At the letter "E", Mr Bert quickly said "Exorcist"..and he suddenly imitate this character that was quite creepy..A side of him that I have not seen for sure!

By the time we finished all alphabets, we were already half way thru the journey.

Overall..it has been an enjoyable journey.

I can imagine one day when we will have a road trip to New Fort.

It will be a longer drive for sure.. need more CDs to be played in the car..and games too!

But my mom, being super efficient, has already gotten my door gifts.

Lately, I find it quite a challenge to go to the gym.
I always have this mental fight with myself.
"You need to go...lose weight..you need to look cun on your big day.. must go"
"oh no.. malas lah.. nanti hujan.. nanti stuck in traffic jam... i rather go back home & rest"
BAHHHH.... it is mentally exhausting kay!
Hence, dengan berat hatinye... I will go.. nak suka rela, but jadi paksa rela.
If only I was already slim.. then I wouldn't have this problem..sighh..

Okay, enough for now.
Back to reality..need to clean my messy room!

The JB road trip..(it was fun!!) Yaya & Farin's wedding.. (such a beautiful wedding..) my impromptu air supply show (yes, I went with ma! free tix!).
But, it has been quite hectic..from last weekend, till recent.
I am feeling both tired & lazy..need to recover soon.
Hopefully am in the mood to blog tmrw.

Mr Bert's bday is less than 1 month from today.
Need to plan something for him.. it will be his last 'bachelor' birthday party..
My brain needs to get cracking soon...

That's probably the feeling when Mr Bert called me this morning..
"Can we meet up for awhile during lunch?"
*yiippiieeeee* I was elated!

But, the meeting was very short. Like, 5 mins short.
I reached at the front of his office around 1.30pm. He came down, looking as segak as always. :p He needed to pass the dodol & keropok to me (courtesy of future parents-in-law), then he has to go for a meeting at 2pm.
But of course, we managed to chat in the car..
Tak lama pun takpe.. At least terubat rindu!
*sorry for the jiwang-ness peps! hehe*
Although we only chat for a mere 5 mins, but I can see his big grin throughout the entire time.
Dia pun rindu kot..hehe..

I called my future SIL.. just to thank her for the things..
She was updating me "Mr Bert seems so happy compared to before. Can tell from his face."
Alhamdulillah.. I'm grateful that he is content with me. Syukur byk2.. (^_^)

It has been a hectic weekend. Can't imagine this upcoming weekend! Sure LEBIH hectic.
But, am looking forward to it. It will be my first road trip with Mr Bert.

Oh yes, today marks our 3rd month as fiancees.. *yippeee..*
Aunty Gee gave me the video CD of my engagament day. It is only 20 minutes long, with bits & pieces of the event (mostly muka Misha actually..).
The sarung cincin part was quite short.. only towards the ending part.
When I saw the video when both Mr Bert & I were on our pelamin.. (at 15:15 timing on the video to be exact)..I suddenly miss him like crazy.. He just got back from KB today, and I will only see him this saturday..The last I saw him was Miki's bday party.

medical check up..

Took my medical check up results today.
Alhamdulillah.. I am healthy in most aspects.. syukur..

However, there are a few things of concern:-
1) my iron level is quite low..
2) I have fibroid in my right breast. 2 cm in length. pretty small. nothing alarming, but needs to be monitored. or I could seek a breast specialist
3) I have a fatty liver & my 'bad' cholesterol level is quite high.. bummer!

Therefore now, the Doc advised me:-
1) to eat more iron food- meat, vegs.
2) to eat less oily things - nasi, mee, anything fried.. is a NO NO NO
3) to exercise more & reduce weight! MUST MUST MUST!

Gosh.. better have a whole new routine starting next week!
Doc's gonna see me in November, I hope all of the above will improved (and the fibroid won't grow any bigger..)

Am off to JB tmrw.. woohoo~

As usually, my family would lepak in the kitchen after dinner...
either paying attention about the news, or just exchanging stories.
Today's conversation between Dad & I went like this..

"I like it when the family are together like this. We must make sure that we sit together at least once a day. I proposed at a time like this."
" Yeah Dad..sure.. but by end of this year, I won't be around. Then by September next year, maybe Emer won't be around"
"Oh takpe..by then dah ader cucu..so it's okay.."

I was so shocked by Dad's statement.
And mama added..
"eh..maybe not one, but 2 of them insyallah.."

Sabar ajelah..hehe..

I know Father's day is a few weeks for now.. but to me, everyday should be a father's day..
So Dad..happy 'advance' Father's day.. today, tomorrow & everyday.. ;)

It was wasn't a typical day today.
I finished my workout, and was going back home.
I waited for the lift, then in I go & press the 'G' button.
While going down, the lift stopped at level "UG".. and guess who was at the door.

Erra Fazira, her baby Aleesya & a whole bunch of ppl (her maid, & I assumed is her PR agent).
The baby was in the pram, pushed by the maid. Her PR person went inside, and finally Erra stepped in.
She was wearing a stripy red poncho-like baju. And she looked beautiful. Flawless skin. Beautiful radiant glow. wow.
She saw me.. gave me a smile. And I said "Hi erra.." She looked at me and said "Hi.." back.
She then wrote done something on a piece of paper..
"so..NT7.. this Friday is it?"
One of the PR said "yes.. they want you to sing too.. lagu GAGA.."
okay, at that point, I didn't really focus.. they were talking about how the baby can make an appearance too. At that time, I was just so amazed that I am in the same lift with Erra.
I tried to get a glimpse of Aleesya, but the hood of the pram blocked her face.

Once at level G, the whole crew stepped out. I managed to see Aleesya from the side, she was facing elsewhere.
They turned right, going towards the mall. And I turned left, heading to my car.
It was pretty cool.. if only I had the guts to take pic of me & erra plus the baby.
Erra is so pretty,post pregnant!
Hope I'll be like a hot mama one day.. tee hee hee..

ps:Btw, Mr Bert's niece Alisya was named after this Aleesya. ;)

a good day indeed..

I wish my daily working life is like today.
Woke up slightly later than usual, kindly took my time to mandi, dress up & have breakfast (and prepared lunch).
Left home at around 8.15am, reached school around 8.50am.
Traffic was okay..bearable.
In the office.. not so hectic (cause school holidays, so no kids/teachers/parents around).
My cleaners were busy tidying the store room & wrapping books.
I was in the office.. sorting out the school stationery's.. & did some office work of course.
Out of 10 items, I managed to complete 8. Not bad kay!
I re-did the annual leaves, ordered stationery's, typed out leaving certs, did some filing.. and even finished off the most complicated one..doing NEW timetables for my teachers!
So yeap.. tmrw I have less things in the office. Will check on the classrooms tmrw (see what junk my teachers have left inside..hehe)

Although during the school hols, I officially finish work at 1pm, but because I was so the 'rajin' completing my work, I was there till 3pm. I didn't mind, Mr Radio was with me in the office.
Then I headed off to the gym, sauna, bought stationary's for school, and went back home.
Tick. Tick. Tick. My things-to-do list for the day is (almost!) complete.. *clap clap*
Job well done!

There's something wrong with 'Maxis' at my home again.
Once I enter my house, there is no connection at all.
So, I have to stand in the middle of the road infront of my house to talk to Mr Bert.
Suprisingly, he was at home early..cooking Maggie.
We were talking his cousin's wedding, and I asked him

"So what are you gonna wear for the nikah?"
"Hmm..I think I'll wear baju melayu kot for their cerai.."
"Whaaattt? Dia! "
"Ooppss..sorry.. I was reading the papers...something about cerai...I meant, to their wedding! "
Chet.. what la my fiance.. "touchwood" nothing is gonna happend to that couple kay!

This weekend, both our first cousins are getting married, but one in KB
(Mr Bert is leaving this Thurs nite..*sobss*) and one in JB, which my parents & I will drive down this Saturday.
I am pretty excited to go down to JB.. Am always excited about weddings!

A quick update bout yesterday.
Mohdy's show was hilarious... gila selamba..gila direct..really 18SX content!
Next we headed to CapSquare & Pavilion to watch Terminator..but both timing were not good, plus some shows were already FULLY BOOKED. hmmphh..
So, Shades suggested we go to her fren's apartment, which is actually next to Mr Bert's apartment! (my future neighbour!)
Wanted to make a surprise visit to Mr Bert, but he was out with his housemate.

"Lah..wanted to singgah your place jap.."
"Oh, am still out la.. but, if I am in pun, I won't let you in. House in a mess..:P"
"What? Chet..fine.. But, one day I kena naik gak..nak tengok my future home.."
"That time will come sayang.. don't worry.."
