Aussie Day..

Australia Day is celebrated as a yearly event in remembrance of the day the Brits arrived in Aussieland. Some people say this day is a lil controversial, as there are issues regarding the home of the Aboriginal people being invadad. Anyhow, I went to the parade with Mai & Lydia, and there were a many groups of people from different countries (who are "Australians"), show cars, bands, army offices, etc. I got a free aussie flag & a balloon to celebrate this special day, and also met a new friend, Anne, who happens to be a JP teacher. After the parade, we headed to the Festival Center, the place to get a free slice of the 26 foot long cake (It was super sweet..) Later, there was a series of daytime fireworks (imagine coloured powder in the sky) at the Torrens Park. The happenings around the park include performances, food, boat rides, etc. We took pics for a bit, and headed home not long after. Aussie aussie aussie, oi oi oi.... =)

Back in Adelaide..and it is Summertime..

What a Hot..Hot..Hot summer this year...It was 42 degrees this afternoon...Lucky thing that I'm spending my weekend at Mai's & Lydia's house .. They have air-cond...nice cooling air-cond..=)

Last night, it was SO hot in my house, I dreamt of drinking a nice cold jar of apple juice, all for myself.. it was so surreal, that I licked my tongue on my lips just thinking about it.. Seriously! It is SO hot, that I can't even get a goodnight sleep. I'd wake up in the middle of the night, stare at the fan (hoping that it'll turn into an air-cond in my wildest dream), drink water & attempt to sleep again.. perrghh.. not a nice feeling, thats for sure!

Oh yes, now that my summer school is over, I am gonna start my Junior Primary School Prac real soon.. 5 weeks with a bunch of 6-7 year olds.. I'm kinna scared actually..older children, higher expectation.. So, I will be pretty busy for the next few weeks.. So, don't be suprise for another LATE update of this blog! hehe.. cheerio!

A very sweet conversation between a boy & girl.. Enjoy..;)

Boy: I know you have been crying lately. Please don't. You have to be strong. Who knows, this might not be the end, but the begining of everything. You know you'll always have me right? I'll always be with you.

Girl: Oh my gosh, this is much harder that I expected. It's not easy at all. I try to be strong and move on, but somehow rather it'll hit me back again. We said that we made the decision for the best of us, but is it? I don't know. These tears just pour out instantly. I miss you so much.. I don't want to lose you..

Boy: I miss you too. After you called me at the airport, I brokedown. I stayed in my room for 2 days straight. I keep telling myself to be strong. Hey, you are not gonna lose me, thats one thing for sure.

Girl: But I'm afraid.. Afraid of the whole thing. I just want things to be as they were. Just you, and me, we both happy. Now I'm just so unhappy and lonely..

Boy: Yeah, I wish things could be easier, but what can we do? We just have to be strong and pray to God that things will be ok for us as He will help & guide us.

Girl: Can I clarify, when you say that I'll always have you and that I won't lose you, what do you mean by that? Yes, I pray everyday that things will be fine one day..

Boy:Well, no matter what happens, you know that you will always be in my heart. Even if we're not meant to be together, but in my heart we are always together. So there's no way you will ever lose me.

Girl: I feel the same way too.. You'll always be in my heart..my one & only..always & always..

Boy:You have no idea how happy I am to hear that.. please don't cry kay..

There was this 'Mummy Returns' exhibition at OU. It was some sort like a'haunted' house, except that there were mummies instead of ghosts. To me, it wasn't too scary, is not really worth your money to go in for a less than 5 minute thriller.. but someone ran so hard, he was out within a minute! (siapa makan chili terasalah pedasnye..=p)

An outing with Hema & Serena at midvalley. Watched 'Pride & Prejudice' before having our late lunch. And suprise suprise, Ako Mustapha was sitting at the next table with his gf! So what else, celebrity photo time! Ako is one of Hema's fav actors, so she was thrilled. hehe.. What a lucky day indeed..;)

Finally, after lots of cancelled, differ + changed of plans, the DU-rian gals were 'united' at News Cafe, OU. Hemy was leaving for the States in 2 days, while I was leaving to Aussie that weekend, so we HAVE to meet up. Yas might go to UK to further her studies in ACCA, Zanina is doing well in 8TV, and Shades..well, shades is just shades..hehe.. If only more DU-rian gals could make it, it would have been fantastic.. better luck in July I guess..

Adil's 22nd birthday.. Haz planned a last minute suprise for him, so I was the 'behind the scene' person for the suprise! After my last lunch with Shades & Zaf at Charms, we met up with Haz where she bought the cake, party hats & blowers for the event. Of course I had to bring EVERYTHING back with me, and Haz will indicate the time to go to Adil's crib. So lucky thing, everything worked well. Adil didn't suspect anything at all..Thank God! I got him a nice black leather belt, and Haz got his a nice black leather wallet. Have a good year being 22, kay Adil.. ;)

Last night in KL- Aunty Mah cooked roast chicken + Tuk cooked Mee Keju for my "last supper"before I leave the next day . Aunty Mah got me a beautiful pink patchmina, and the gals got me a tiny pink forever friend teddy bear! That's so sweet of them.. Will miss you guys dearly..=)

My last day in KL, and I spent my last moments with my closest friends, Shades, Zaf..and esp. Wan. And where's the best place to be? The Playground of course! hehe.. Thank you for making my stay a memorable one guys! Thank you for being there for me, during both the good and bad times.. Thank you so much for everything..
