For the Arts Room, my lecturer has chosen mine & Emma's art creation for the display wall in the Ats Room. Boy we feel proud.. woohoo! And for our last visual arts class, we had to create something that describes "our special place". So, we decided to do the home of the Care Bears, "Cloud 9". We got inspired from the Sydney trip, where we saw a sea of clouds from the plane. Therefore, a combination of clouds, rainbows, stars, sun..that's the place to be!

For one of our Science & Technology assignment, we have to create an artefact that can be used for a Science class. So, first experiement was to create a string puppet, and I created "Flora the Flamingo". But, since I written some lesson plan for the "Senses" topic, I've decided to create a sensory sock hand puppet, "Chukies the Sensory Alien" instead. (Chukies, named after Miza..=P) This alien is made of different types of textures & materials, with bells, feathers, sandpaper, lace etc. I even sprayed pot pourri all around the puppet to give it a distinct smell. Let's just hope I score well for this assignment! ;)

Pressies from home..

As I got back home, Adil + Haz greeted us at the door. Haz got back from KL the day before, and my mom gave her some stuff to be given to me, and the bulk of it were presents from my brothers, Man & Emer. Man (Kak Ina + Dzhofier too) got me this adorable black + white cat (with a pink nose), which Man has named it "Maxmillian Issac Nottingham" (shortform MIN), but I've decided to name the cat "Theodore" instead.. And as for Emer, he gave me this EXTRA FAT fluffy creature, which is so nice to hug! I've decided to call him "Harry" for his fluffiness... hehe.. (When I was young I had 2 cats named Harry & Theodore, so yeah, the teddies are named after the cats). So now, I have 3 teddies for my Birthday, and they all conquered my bed already! hehe.. And as for my parents, the gave me a brand new Sony mp3 player..and it's in a purple-metallic casing! woohoo~ It's an ideal prez for me.. Thank you so much Ma, Dad, Man, Kak Ina, Dzhofier & Emer.. Miss everybody so much!!

Sydney Trip: Day 8 + Finale day

Day 8- 1st October 2005
In the morning, Kak Gina invited me to have breakfast at the officier of Toursim Malaysia's house, and we had Mee Rebus & lots of yummy kuihs! hehe.. They were a nice & warm family, and they just have a latest addition to the family, Yusuf, who is just a week old. His cheeks are so round! geramm..After the lovely breakfast affair, I accompanied Kak Gina to buy some groceries at the nearby shop. While she shop, I babysit Firdaus.. That cheeky lil' fella..

At around noon, I had the car for the day + send it for car wash.. 2nd car wash for me for this year! hehe.. Later, I drove to Bondi Beach & we had those yummy Fried Mars Bar (imagine pisang goreng, with chocolate filling inside). Oh boy, calories again babe! Right after that, we 'rushed' to Bondi Junction to catch a train to the city cause Emma wanted to do last minute shopping at Paddy's market again. Lucky thing we managed to get there on time! As we got home, Aunty Na had to quickly packed up as she leaves Sydney that night. So after saying goodbye to Firdaus & Kak Gina, I sent her off to the Interational Airport. Have a safe flight home to Singapore Aunty Na..

Finale day- 2nd October 2005
The worst case scenario happend.. I was the only one with the alarm on, and I overslept! Our flight was at 6.55am, and Emma woke me up at 6.30am. *Knock on the head* How could i have been so careless! I guess over the past week, my "tiredness debt" just went overboard & I just sleep in, on the day when I was supposed to be up at 5am! Aarrghhh.. We rushed to the airport (obvsiously missed our flight), and we had to purchased brand new tix for the next flight at 9.55am! Imagine, there was no reimbursment whatsoever! Money goes down the drain.... =( Oh well, like Kak Gina said "Take this as a very valuable lesson". Yeah sure, a very expensive one for sure! hah..

So Emma & I hang around in the airport, eating really yucky breakfast (plain yogurt & coffee..), feeling so sleepy & tired.. But oh well, we were looking forward to go home.. Back to cheaper bus tix, and home cooked meals, and familiar looking faces + places.. But obviously not looking forward to the assignments & all...but yeah, home sweet home...=) It was a great (almost) blue sky holiday...

Sydney Trip: Day 7, Kak Long's Engagement + Song of the month..

Day 7- 30th September 2005

After yesterday's trip, we decieded to take it easy for the day. Today was more of a Shopping day for us. Before leaving the house, we took pics around the beautiful house, then headed to the well known "Paddy's Market", a good place to buy bargain + cheap stuff..I just bought some tshirts, key chains..the usual. Since we're meeting Siew Heng & Collin for dinner, we decided to go to Circular Quay (again) for a 'night time' scenary. We had a bit of trouble taking the night vision pics, but some turned out rather well. We then had dinner at this Malaysian Chinese Cruisine Restaurant and had yummy seafood dishes! Collin then took us for a drive around Kings Cross, and later drove us back home. A pretty simple day for us..

Kak Long's Engagement
My dearest cousin, Rene, or I prefer to call her Kak Long, got engaged today! Based from the pics that my mom sent me, the hantaran (brown themed) & pelamin (white with scented candles + flowers) were so nice + elegant, and Kak Long looked so beautiful! Today was also her birthday, so her fiance, Way, suprised her with a birthday cake after the his mother placed the ring on her finger. Boy I wish I was there.. Kak Long, happy birthday again & congrats on your engagment! Can't wait for next year july..

Yes, song of the month again.. Proudly to say, after years of listening to those sad sappy song, now I am begining to appreciate these happy love songs.. =) Honestly, there were too many songs to chose from, but I've decided to put up this song from Gavin DeGraw.. such a sweet song. Enjoy!

Gavin DeGraw- Just Friends

I saw you there last night
Standing in the dark
You were acting so in love
With your hand upon his heart

But you were just friends
At least that's what you said
Now I know better from his fingers in your hair
I forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one

I've had other options too
But all I want is you
Girl your body fits me like a glove
And you shower me with words of love

And you were just friends
At least that's what you said
Now I know better from his fingers in your hair
I forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one

It's not my style to lay it in on the line
But you don't leave me with a choice this time
Why weren't you true?
You know I trusted you

When you were just friends
At least that's what you said
Now I know better from his fingers in your hair
I forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one

You were just friends
At least that's what you said
Now I know better from his fingers in your hair
I forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one

I'll forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one
I'll forgive you for what you've done
If you say that I'm the one
I'll forgive you
