Sing the Schnappi Song!

It's amazing how a simple children song, sang by a German girl, could make it to Top 10 in Video Hits in Australia.. It's a song about this green Crocodile that likes to Snap, or is the name Schanppi? Hmm..Kinna a cute video, but Top 10? wooaahh.. check it out! Schnappi Video

Der Text des Schnappi-Songs

Ich bin Schnappi, das kleine Krokodil.
Komm aus Ägypten, das liegt direkt am Nil.
Zuerst lag ich in einem Ei,
dann schni-,schna-,schnappte ich mich frei

[Refrain]
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp
Schni Schna Schnappi
Schnappi Schnappi Schnapp

[Refrain]

For Tute 3, we went on a mini-beast hunt. And we found Mr Pete, and we made a Poem for him..

Hello Mr Pete,
We found you near a creek,
You were lying still,
So we thought you were ill,
You poor thing,
Maybe you're playing dead!
You have 6 feet near your head,
With feelers in front,
You're quite a stunt,
You wiggle around,
And you live in the ground,
And your colour is brown!
So Mr Pete,
I'm glad we meet,
You wiggly treat!

For tutorial 4, we have to create our very own Wousie! (an imaginary animal). So my wousie's name is Wuggie. She has a mosquito + poccupine herietage. She has a tail, 2 feelers, 4 wings, 4 legs, 2 big eyes + lots of spikes around her body. She lives near a flower pots because she loves smelling flowers, especially during spring + summer time. She hibernates in autumn + winter, sleeping soundly in the flowerpot. She flies + loves to eat leaves + flower petals. =)

The obituary of the late Motorola V525..

On the morning of 16th August 2005, my beloved Motorola handphone V525 faithfully departed this world. It was just a typical morning while I was surfing the net, and when I looked at the phone, and there was no signs of "life" or "light" from the phone. I tried to charge it, I tried on-ing it, (attempted CPR too..), but there was no hope. "It" has peacefully died in it's sleep. I feel a sense of loss for this ever-faitful handphone who has been with me for the past 1 year 4 months. May you rest in peace. Ameen..

Suci's 22nd Birthday..

Suci invited us, the girls, to have dinner at Zen, our favourite Chinese restaurant for her birthday treat. Emma + I came earlier to give the cake to the staff, so that it will be a suprise for Suci during dessert tine. Lucky thing she was suprised! hehe.. We had good food for dinner:- prawn, fish, chinese fried rice.. plus the cake + fried ice cream for desserts..yumm! We then went back to Suci's place + ate Miza's stuck-on-the-plate brownie + waited till midnight to officially celebrate Suci's birthday. It was definately a fun girls night out!

Movienight with the boys..

Emma Spore kinna had a bad day, so she insisted that I go watch with her the movie her bf recommended, "Land of the Dead ". And I was like "eerrrmm..that movie?" She then invited Aaron & Max to join us, and so we got a ride from Max. The movie? Hmm, it was shocking at times (there was one part in the movie where I was the only one screaming! how embarassing!). Emma & I laughed at certain parts of the movie, cause some of the scenes looked silly (when it was supposed to be yucky/ scary). But oh well, at least it cheered Emma up. We walked to Pancake House for our late dinner, and the 3 of them took turns in scaring me while we were walking! *hmmpphh..*

First kindi visit..

My first day of kindi prac.. I seriously nervous because I was afraid that it will be the same like last semester.. dragful! But alhamdulillah, I was wrong! The staff were GREAT! My mentor, Ms Kay, was super nice, Ann was just fantastic.. fyuhh, at least the people that I'm gonna work with are cool people! As for the kids, they were just beautiful. These kids- aged 4 to 5 years old- sure talk a lot, and your reasonings to your answers better be accurate! The reasources at the kindi were great, lots of things to do & can be done. Now I'm getting pretty excited about planning my Raya theme for the kids.. And the best thing about this prac is.. I CAN TAKE PICS AT THE KINDI! yeeaazza!! I hope this kindi prac will go on smoothly insyallah..

A story about Forest & Hal..

What the real deal about love? Is love truly blind, or are we blinded by love? "To love or not to love?"

In a more conventional context, love happens when there's "chemistry" between 2 individuals. And usually, the physical attraction would be the main formula of the chemistry:- when their eyes meet, that sweet smile, that nice build body.. etc. However, do we really need physical attribution to make that "chemistry" explode?

If we were to compare the movie 'Shallow Hal', it doesn't matter how one's physical appearance looks like BUT it is the beauty within that matters the most. Hal falls deeply in love with Rosemary because of her inner beauty, that even when he was hypnotized back, he still wants to love her despite of her huge figure. He could see the inner beauty so visibly that her physical looks doesn't matter at all to him. There was a part in the movie when he was talking to his best friend, "Ok, imagine if you could see Wonder woman in that person, even if others don't see likewise, do care about the rest? NO right?".Therefore, if one could already see the inner beauty of the other person, will that be enough to convince others (or perhaps to convince himself/herself) that love can actually happen regardless?

Alright, enough comments about physical looks. How about one's inner being, that one was born to be in that particular way? If that 'unique' person is sincere about his / her love, would you want to sincerely accept it? Take the movie 'Forest Gump' as a fine example. He was born with a lower IQ compared to the rest, he's a little slow & at times very blur. And, he falls deeply in love with his childhood friend, Jenny for as long as he could remember. Jenny refused his love and only wanted to be his friend, but he'd always protect her, he'd always think of her wherever he went, but sadly it has always been a one-sided love. However eventually, over the years, she did come back to him, and finally accepted his love. Therefore, does this mean that if one person loves you more than you love that person, would you agree to accept that love over time? How do you learn to accept that 'unique' person as he/she is sincerely? Is love really about accepting or compromising each other?

For me, isn't love just a special connection between 2 individuals regardless on how they look or born to be? As long as they feel comfortable & happy with each other, and were there for each other, isn't that sufficient to make love happen? It doesn't matter what other people think about them, just as long as they are happy with themselves, right? So many unanswered questions, hopefully we'll know the truth about love in time.

This funny thing call love.. it's just something to ponder about..

Mamak Night..

There were posters were everywhere about this Mamak night. So we were like "oh yeah, for $6, why not.." I smsed one of the organizer asking about the tix, and he said the pretickets were sold out, and theres only 50 tix at the counter, first come first basis. Aiyohh... so Emma & I reached City West at 6.15pm, and the tix has been officially SOLD OUT! isshhh.. Mai, Lydia & Mas were already sitting at one of the table. Since we were already there, and we wanted to eat mamak food so badly, so...what we did was we sneek in from behind & went in anyway! We got in for free! hehee.. *naughty grin*

As we were all sitting there, we saw some of the phamplets, and later realised that this gathering was actually organized by Paradise Church Youth Committee! (this fact wasn't mentioned on the poster!). But these people were warm & friendly enough to welcome us to their gathering. (Lucky thing the food were Halal!) Not long after that, we were joined by other Singaporian ladies, who crave for mamak food as well. Everybody waited in the cold winter night, and finally at 7.30pm, food was served. Our server, Kristin, was a very bubbly young girl who served us well.. We had roti canai, pompadom, Dhal, Chicken satay, rice with chicken curry & meehon.. not forgetting the teh tarik & desserts (kuih lekur.. not sure lah! hehe)

Besides the good food, I would say the Videos that the committee showed were great as well. They showed some clips (directed by them) about life in Adelaide, about the activities they have..but my favourite one was the Hindustani video that they recorded around Rundle Mall & along Torrens River! hehe..simply hillarious! Another interesting activity that they had was Pop Quiz. Each table gets a 50 ques Quiz comprises of General Knowledge about the world & some facts about Australia. The winning table will get a whole bag of perencahs.. So we were all anxious to answer as many correct ques as we can.. Mas & I were cracking our brains on the chemistry ques.. (aduh..fail la! heheh) Of course in the end, we didn't win.. If only Adil was there cause his has superb general knowledge!

So, after our mamak cravings had been fulfilled, we decided to walk to GJs for our chillin' session with Adil & Haz (they didn't managed to join us..kecian diaorg..) So we braced ourselves in the cold weather, and walked 2 streets down to Rundle St.. Brr.. After our short lepaking session, Emma & I took the last bus home..

..my destiny..

Boy, it is the end of July already! About 23 days I was in KL, and so many things happend! I was busy at home, busy helping my mom in the office..I was so busy that I wasn't able to meet up with my college friends..or go to the movies...There were some difficult moments that I have to go through as well, and I would really wanna thank Wan for making my holiday a bearable one. Thanx for being there, and I truly appreaciate everything that you've done..10Q again..

And yes, it's that time of month again..song of the month.. I've choose the song "Destiny" written by Jim Brickman. Well, Marsha AF3 sang this song during one of the concerts, and Kak Long wanted this song as her wedding song (Don't worry, I'm not gonna take your song). I dunno, there's this magical chemistry about this song.. especially the lyrics. I just love it.. This song is dedicated to my loved ones..enjoy..

Destiny

What if I never knew
What if I never found you
I'd never have this feeling in my heart
How did this come to be
I don't know how you found me

But from the moment I saw you
Deep inside my heart I knew

Chorus:
Baby you're my destiny
You and I were meant to be
With all my heart and soul
I give my love to have and hold
And as far as I can see
You were always meant to be my destiny

I wanted someone like you
Someone that I could hold on to
And give my love until the end of time
But forever was just a word
Something I'd only heard about

But now you're always there for me
When you say forever I believe

(chorus)

Maybe all we need is just a little faith
'Cause baby I believe that love will find the way

(instrumental bridge)

Baby you're my destiny
You and I were meant to be
With all my heart and soul
I give my love to have and hold
And as I far as I can see
From now until eternity
You were always meant to be my destiny
