I dunno what the lecturer wants...aaarrghhhh... me & my last minute work.. I hate it when I dont put my 200% in my work...I need to finish it soon! arrrghh...

ok, enough stressing from me.. Semester starts tmrw, and kinna looking foward for what this semester will bring.. new classes, new tutes, new letcurers, new classmates.. not to mention new assignments! (mental note: dont do LAST MINUTE work meen!) Lets just hope I'll survive another 4 months of hecticness, shall we?

alrighty..as always, I will always put a lyric of a song at the end of the month.. and, I reckon its quite obvious that "My Completeness" is the song of the month! yeay! cheers..

My Completeness by Thristy Merc

She came to me
With her arms
Open wide
Learns my style
There she stood
Like a child

With her hair
Flowing down in blue cascades
Love, laughing at her feet
Life, dancing in a masquerade
My completeness

I could say no words
None would breathe
With my heart
On my sleeve
All was clear
There she was

With her hair
Flowing down in blue cascades
Love, laughing at her feet
Life, dancing in a masquerade
My completeness

Alright
She's everything to me

She came to me
With her arms
Open wide
Learns my style
There she stood
like a child

With her ...
Hair, flowing down in blue cascades
Love, laughing at her feet
Life, dancing in a masquerade
Hair, flowing down in blue cascades
Love, laughing at her feet
Life, dancing in a masquerade
My completeness

She's everything to me, yeah

couple's quarrel..

Lately, this week especially, I heard so many couple's quarrel (from the gf's side, that is) .Here are some quotes that I've read/heard this week about their bfs:

"I was so mad with him, that I deleted him from my friendster"

"why must there be couples in this world? if there's no couple, then there wont be any broken hopes, or broken hearts."

"u're knocking on my window. i acted like i didnt hear it. it hurts inside. thanx for ruining my nite."

"I dunno..I was so pissed off with him, I decided not to call him. Don't care lah"

tskk...tsk.. cian cian.. well, I have no say about this whole quarrel thing, cause it has be AGES since I've been thru one (or have I? haha). So, thats how relationship is.. you fell in love, then you BOTH (gotta stress this point) have to be strong to face any obstacle that comes in your relationship. If you are able to go through all the ups, and especially the downs with your partner, insyallah the longer you both can last...

Sometimes, people are just in love with the idea of "in love". They don't realised that there's more to life than just love alone. The "Personality connectedness" is fairly important in any relationship. In time, there will always be struggles, challenges, bitter & pain, and thats the real deal of a relationship. Sometimes, you dont have to be total opposites of each other, or exactly the same like your partner.. but the main thing is that you just need this "ngam-ness" with each other, then things can work...plus some creativity here & there, then it can definately spice up your relationship.( Talking like a true expert..not!)

It's funny that I'm talking about this, as I am not undergoing any relationship problems at the moment. I guess for me, I haven't met the guy who has the common "ngam-ness" with me. But, I'm not complainig. I'm just a lil worried at times, but not complaining. (I can relate myself to Bridget Jones Diary (Part 1) , but not being as desperate as her! ) People say that I'm too choosey..but, how can I be choosey when there not even any candidate in the first place? whatever..=p I just wanna enjoy this single life while I can...=)

As for these people who "complain" about these quarrels, well.. proudly enough they are "back in good terms" already. Good on you girls! ;) I wish all the best that all of you will be happy with your loved one always..

ps: maybe this entry doesn't make sense..I dunno.. just wanted "let it out", you know.. aper2 jelah..=P

Disorientation 05

Finally, the day has arrived, and I can now wear "My Completness" t shirt with a purpose: to be acknowledge by the band! (hopefully!)Emma, Qiddin & I left home late (coz I finished my class at 8pm, and the show starts at the same time), plus, we got lost.. so at around..hmm, 8.50pm, we finally found 'the Gov'. Emma dragged me to the front of the stage, and we stayed at the same spot the whole night through.

When we arrived, the first band was already performing halfway. (I didn't get their name..so not too sure who) The place wasn't as crowded yet, the songs were okie. The lead singer was rather cute. Hmm, thats all I have to say about this band.

During the first interval, this comedian (I'm assuming) was telling the crowd lots of swearing jokes. (some were really horrying! whatever)Emma got a free ticket to watch a comedy act in march, but its only for 1 person. well, she got the freebies anyway.

"The Camels" were up next, and they were very loud group. By that time, Emma & I were already right infront of the lead guitarist, which happens to be cute! (except for his weird hairdo, which looked more like a cookie monster!). Theres one part of the performance where he smiled at Emma, and Emma was being all shy & girly with him! whaat lahh.hehe..The crowd was bigger this time round. The band performed their songs, and they did their version of "You're just too good to be true..can't take my eyes off you", which was so cute, in a rock & roll style! Their final song (am assumming it is their hit song) was "I've been a very bad puppy dog". Now thats another "cute rock & roll " song as well! hehe..

After they performed was another interval..and the comedian did his 'swearing thing' again. Then DJs were playing some R&B songs. (heyy..hoo...heyy..hoo) At the same time, the band members of Thristy Merc were preparing their stuff on stage, and people starting to scream. I managed to get an auntograph from the lead guitarist only. (well, better than nothing right?) And at this time, the entire room was packed. It was quite obvious that most of them wereThristy Merc's loyal fans. (I'm considered to be a fan of their songs, so thats a lil diff :D)

So finally, THRISTY MERC was in the house! Boy they rock! The crowd were waving hands, screaming, ..you name it. Then suddenly, the 4th song they played was .."My Completeness!" woohoo~ I was SO happy, singing to every line of the lyrics.. I recorded 3/4 of the song in my camera, and I was trying to get them see my t-shirt during my song. Unfortunately, they didn't see me! =( But, about 2 songs after that, the lead singer saw me & my tshirt, and he mouth out "Nice Shirt!" YEAAYY!! He saw it! Emma & I were screaming excitiedly! woohoo~ The Uni photographer took a pic of me soon after, and boy I feel proud wearing the tshirt! hehe... Everyone was singing along to "Summertime", "Someday, someday"..and also to their version of "..baby, one more time"! (It was wicked!) and they ended the show with "Emancipate myself"~ THRISTY MERC ROCKS! YEAAHHH....

The minute the show ended, Emma dragged me to outside of "The Gov"& staright to the parking lot (she hates crowds..esp. in small areas). The next thing we know, Emma Spore, Aaron, Amanda & this Hongkie guy wanted a ride from Qiddin. Lucky thing that everyone lived in Hartley's (except for the Hongkie guy, but his house was on the way anyway). So imagine, there were 7 ppl in one car, with me & Amanda sitting on the back floor of the car. sheasshh.. But we reached home safely.. (lucky thing there were no police checks that night!)

Therefore..I managed to accomplish my goals for the nite: to be acknowledge by the band (thanx to my wonderful tshirt!) ..and to record "my completeness" in my camera (well, 3/4 is good enough)..what a night to remember! yeahh.. =)

ps: To Shades, Dayang, Wani & Azwan..cheers for our memorable GOR trip! "My completeness" indefinately! =)

My Completeness Ice Cream

In the morning, I headed to "T-shirt City" shop to make my very own tshirt! You see, Noranna did a t-shirt with the title of the song for this band she liked..and..I decided to follow her brilliant idea! =D So, since Thristy Merc will be performing tmrw, I wanted a "My Completeness" t-shirt since I LOVED that song so much (Think Great Oceon Road trip. Think the fun & laughter we had. Think Shades, Dayang, Wani, Azwan in the car. Think the beutiful blue oceon on a brught sunny day. Those sweet good memories!) So yeah, Shantel (Noranna's friend) was so friendly & helpful, and within minutes, the t-shirt was ready! Taa daa~

After I came back from class today, Emma told me "Get ready, we're going to Abu's for dinner". Qiddin picked us up (so now, we officially have no car for ourselves). It was Kak Tipah (Abu's maid) last night here, so that why he invited us to eat the last of Kak Tipah's delicious cooking. I joined Emma watching CSI Miami upstairs while eating dinner (coz I didn't want to be the only girl among the boys). After dinner, Tania wanted to eat some ice cream at Cold Rock. So, the 5 of us went, and I had Forrero Rocher + Peanut Butter Swirl + a bar of Tim Tam Ice Cream! =) Cold Rock's the best ice-cream place ever!

2 Very LOOONG Days..

On monday, I had Mandatory training from 8.30am till 3.30pm. Then, my 2nd subject for summer school , Language & Literacy, started from 4pm till 8pm! fyuuhh.. almost 12 hours in uni! perghh... what a day!

Mandatory training is basically when we identify/ suspect that a child under our care is being abused- either physically, sexually or mentally abuse. I could relate this training with my experiences conducting the 'PS the Children' survey around Malaysia not long ago. Its basically the same thing all together, except this time it deals with young children instead of teenagers.

As for my 2nd summer course..I just LOVED IT! The lecturer, Gill Newman, was fantastic! Seriously, when I had to take up this course, I dragged it, thinking it will be all "boring & nothing interesting"..Boy I was WRONG! She explains well, relating her experiences in regards to children's literacy (she is after all a full time teacher, and a part time lecturer).. she entertained us with her jokes, and most importantly, I felt SO motivated to encourage children to read! Ain't it great~ I wish Dzhofier, or Sarah, or Sophie was in front of me, so that I can take them to the bookstore right at this moment! hehe..

So that was it..8am- 8pm in uni..woohoo~
************************************************************************************

On tuesday, I decided to bring Emma Singapore (Now I have 2 Emmas..my housemate, and my coursemate..!) to CM, since she has never been there before. We should have left earlier, and I ended up rushing for my class for that day. Just for that day, my class will start at 2pm instead, so thats 6 hours straight of classwork! Gill brought in some books from her school library, and I enjoyed the books! My fav would be about the "Wait! No Paint!" book & "The Mole who know its none of his business" book.. just simply Loved it! Will definately buy these books for future keepstake.

Hence..I had a 2 very very looonng days.. *siggh *

Southpark MeeN!

Hehe..cool isn't it? I saw Noranna's version of a Southpark character, so decided to do one for myself.. and taa daa, thats me! hehe..Doesn't she look like me? =)

Create Your Own South Park character! Have fun~

The meaning of a "holding" dream..

Last week, I had a dream of holding something.. Curious of what my dream meant, I headed to the bookshop & read the "Interpretation of Dreams" book. Finders keepers, I found the intepretation of a "holding" dream. It says:

" If you are conscious in your dream that you are holding something, the object probably represent something that you've trying to protect or are afraid of losing. In general, holding suggest a desire for control, ownership, intimacy, or even more indirectly, for knowledge or awareness (i.e: when we feel we finally "grasped" a concept/idea) "

hmm...interesting..suprisingly true.. I think I am afraid to let "it" go.. hmmm....

miniMeeN vs drEviL..

miniMeeN:
Roses are red
and some are thorny
when I am without you
I feel kinna..corny..=P

***********************************************************************************
drEviL:
You really made my day
for sending me the card for vday
I appreciate your effort for sending it so far away
but I already have a partner for vday
and he is not gay
I am so happy when I saw the red envolope for me
but I didn't know it was gonna be corny
But seriously, jokes aside
I truly appreciate the card
and forgetting you would be "hard"
but I will surely remember you when I fart! =P

************************************************************************************
miniMeeN:
Although you've already got a partner that's hot
but I gave you the card, and its from the thought
as vday is not only for lovers
but it's also for special friends & others
I hope this doesn't change our special friendship
as I would like to cherish it & keep
all the memories that we had
both good & bad
and that makes me glad...=)

What a Buddy week! fyuhh~

This week has been a very busy buddy week! I met so many students for the past week from all over the world: spore, indon, maldives, america, germany, canada, japan, kenya.. and of coz, those students from HELP. There were about 30-40 ppl for this 5th batch of HELP students (during my batch (2nd batch),there were only 7 of us..what a diff~) I felt that I've been in UniSA for too long now.. felt kinna old! hehe.. so yeah, helped them with their enrolment, tour the campus, rundle mall..etc etc.. But it was fun meeting new ppl.. most of them are younger, so they still have the "naive & adventurous" attitude. Me & Ann met up with this grp of new students from diff courses, but somehow they managed to "click" immediately & now they are "one happy geng".. They kinna reminded me when I was back in HELP.. my "geng" once upon a time.. those good ol' days..=)

Anyway, back to this Buddy thingy. Yesterday, we had a trip to Mount Loufty (the peak of Adelaide) & to Cleland Wildlife Park. Since it was a free trip for us "buddies", we joined the new students for the trip. It was my 6th trip to Mt Loufty, and my 2nd trip to Cleland, but it was all good & fun. Most of the time I was the photographer, taking pics of them with the koalas & kangaroos. The whole day we spend on the trip, and by night fall, I was dead tired. It was another loonngg day for me yet again~
