"Home sweet home" of Adelaide..

I was pretty upset with the flight coz the entertainment system wasn't functioning at all! There was no sound coming out from the headphones, and the movies can't be screened as well! perghh.. The only thing that we could do is play games, which I did but it didn't last long. I felt asleep instead, feeling rather homesick. I had this feeling of sadness in my heart, wanted to cry but couldn't.. so I slept, to forget about this sadness that I'm feeling..

When I arrived in this "home sweet home" Adelaide, the tempreature was 14 degrees! (for summer, thats amazing!) Emma, my dearest housemate, picked me up, and we drove back to the familiar home in Magill. Emma's sis bought her a little kitten for her bday, name is Dida. So now, we have 2 cats at home! As for Kaka, he is a Big Boy already! He's pretty heavy as well.. After I unpack my stuff, I slept again from 10.30am- 4pm! Talk about feeling tired..

Emma cooked "linner" (lunch + dinner), so we ate at 5.30pm.. sunset was at 8.30pm! pretty hard to imagine.. I was still trying to adjust back to my life in Adelaide.. being independent & so-called "studious" & "discipline!" hehe..

At night, I was still feeling homesick..arrghh! its my 2nd year here, and I still feel homesick! perrghh.. I calm-ed myself to sleep, telling myself that things will be alright insyallah..

last day in KL..sayonara Malaysia~

Suprisingly, I woke up at 11am (despite the late sleep!). After a series of repacking, my parents brought me to this place near my house to have fresh coconut drink! It was really refreshing, and it only cost RM2! Haha.. Shades dropped by at my crib later on, to pass a few stuff & to bid me farewell. She was so thrilled to be able to see Dzhofier, and he behaved well! At around 6.40pm, I left my warm home, and headed towards the airport.

Although my luggage was 5 kilos overweight, but I managed to get it cleared out (the officer in charge was too nice!) We all had KFC for dinner, and before I knew it, it was time to bid my family farewell. I stared to cry when I hugged Dzhofier. He hugged me tighter, as though he knew that I will be away. I started to burst into tears when I hug my mom! I thought these crying-moments-before-take-off is over for me. Hmm, apparently not! Although it is my 4th time flying back to Adelaide, but it felt as though it was my first. I was so sad, crying like baby.. I felt homesick already. When my mom called me in the Aerotrain, I was almost speechless, trying to control my tears.

I think I have been home too long, that is why this departure thingy has impacted me so much. If I were to summarize about my summer break in Malaysia this time, it would be : Cuti-cuti Malaysia(cause I went to a lot of the states this time round)-weddings-Makan!-outings with Shades, Zaf, Terk & Anuar and most definitely, Babysitting Dzhofier. Boy, I am gonna miss those precious moments! Bye Malaysia.. Missing home already~

last nite in KL..

My last night in KL. I had family dinner with Aunty Mah & family as well at Aji Don, Hartamas. It is a new area, so we were just exploring that place. Later, I had my last supper with Wanie (my dearest Brunei friend who is here in KL for vacation!), Dayang (who drove me back home..good friendly neighbour), Shades(like totally! Coolness!!) Anuar (who started to tell about Ghost stories half way! Aaaahhhh!) & Zuhri (Dr evil himself..) at Hartamas Square. We were there till so late, I reached home at 3.30am. I ended up sleeping at 7 anyway because I needed to pack luggage. What a night!

night treats..

After a series of sms-es, I managed to arrange Yit, Daniel, Siew Heng and myself to meet up for another DU-rian dinner. I suggested Penang Village in TTDI, for the convenience of Yit who has working the next day. I picked up Siew Heng from her house and arrived at the restaurant right on time. We all decided to have dishes instead of ala carte, so each of everyone chose a dish each. I was so thirsty that night that I ordered Ice Kacang & had that first before the main course! Halfway through, Chin Chai & Chang Haur gladly joined us. We were busy chit chatting, that the waiters had to request as to leave as the restaurant was closing. After a quick photo taking session, I sent Yit home, and picked up Zuhri & Zairin for supper.

For supper, we went to Traffic Light mamak at PJ Old Town to have the very delicious Pisang Goncang (Banana Shake!). Shahril was so sweet to give me a little souvenir from Petrosains:a set of mini-sized pens. In the car, Zuhri & Zairin were doing their crazy acts and danced to the rhythm of Hindustani music! Ish ish.. Zuhri & I managed to exchange perfumes just for the fun of it (system barter la konon)

A day with Kak Long..& eating durians at Chow Kit!

I spent almost the whole day with Kak Long.. started the morning with a mission to Selayang.. imagine ourselves as the detective spies.. hehe.. after mission accomplished, we decided to check out the new "Curve" at Mutiara Damansara.. Since it was still a new place, the parking was free (hope it stays that way!) The building concept has similarities with an Australian shopping mall design (reminds me of Habour Town) and the walls were painted with funky, vibrant & creative designs & colours.. (kinna reminds me of Zaf's blog skin! hehe) We wanted to eat an Indonesian restaurant, but since it wasn't open (most shops were still not officially open yet), we decided on Laksa Shack (my third time eating there! hehe) This time, I had curry laksa.. We wondered around that place..I was suprise to see a Patchi outlet in their MPH store! It was quite hot outside, so we bought my fav Frappachino Caramel at Starbucks! =) We crossed over to Ikano via the bridge, and bought some stuff there.. I bought a sling bag for RM25..Later, with the jam & all, I reached home at almost 7..

After dinner at home with my family, my dad suggest that we should eat durians before I leave for Adelaide this saturday.. So, my parents & I drove down to Chow Kit road and had nothing but durians! hehe..(the "chow kit road" song sang by the late sudirman was continously playing in my mind!).The market there is really cheap.. my mom was so happy to be able to get a handfull of serai for only 50 cents!we also bought a whole carton of ice lemon tea for only RM20.. Therefore now, Chow kit is officially my mom's new marketing place!

my sunday day..

Again, for the god's knows how many times already, I slept over at Shades' crib.. But this time,it was more like the mom wanted me to sleep over, and my mom agreed! so yes, sleep over again..I feel like Shades' crib is like my second home! As always, Anuar came over & had all those crazy + serious talks with him.. wanted to play Cluedo, but all of us were mentally tired.. after Anuar left at about 4.30am, we all went to sleep..

my hp rang at about 10.30am, with the sound of my mom's voice "dah beli nasi lemak?" I was supposed to buy breakfast for my family..oppssy..I overslept! So, after a quick change (tak mandi, tak gosok gigi! haha), I went straight to the mamak stall, bought roti telur instead, and reach home by 11.30am. After a nice bath, my mom invited me to eat Japanese buffet for lunch.. How could I resist! hehe.. We reached Kogetshu restaurant at Hyatt Subang by 1pm, and Ikadakimasu (dunno if i spelled it correctly, but its Bon Appetite in Japanese!) :the tempura..the Teppanyaki.. *yumm* We had a good view of the lake from our seats, so it was a pefect mother & daughter afternoon Japanese lunch! =)

At night, my friendly neighbour Dayang (whom I met in Melbourne)had a BBQ at her crib. I was there quite early at 8pm,thinking I could help whatever is neccessary. But when I was there, most of the stuff were done. So, I just chated with a few ppl, wondered around her beautiful home. I wanted to wait for Shades & Anuar so that we can eat together. Once the crowd became bigger & bigger, I left awkard & wondered around.. and I met a VERY FAT CAT!! the name's Hanson.. adduhh...its SO FAT!! atattaata.. and yes, he is HEAVY! (I reckon it's heavier than Dzhofier! hehe) Once Shades, Anuar & Carina arrive, the queue for the BBQ chickens/steaks/etc were really long (coz there were so many ppl, and they started to cook a bit late) so, we ended up eating slighter later.. but it was okie..the food was good.. I just wannna meet Hanson again! =)
