No more lepaking at Apartment #3.51 anymore..

Can't believe I'm back in Adelaide.. at the airport, I only started to cry when Mama began to hug me.. *sad moment* Oh well, semester has started.. reality has kick in.. assignments gonna be due soon.. well meen, start your engines & GO!

I pity Haz..she was forced to move out from her current apartment. And now, she has to move to this house which is 30 mins WALK away from Uni. And theres no bus which passes that area, the nearest place to shop for groceries is Woolys in Rundle Mall (about 40 mins walk)..And, the only positive thing about the house is..it's new & BIG! perghh.. Anyways, Adil & I helped her packed, moved & unload all her stuff from the old apartment to the new house. I don't think we will be lepaking at her house now, as it is just not convenient at all. oh well, Goodbye Bent St Apartment #3.51! There were lots of good memories there..

Last few outings in KL..

18th July- I met up with my Melbourne friends, Mr "CLEO Bachelor #21" Anuar & my fellow Sierramas neighbour Dayang. We just hang out at Mohsin, had one teh tarik after another. Anuar as always has so many stories to tell, and Dayang added the spice to his jokes. It's always a funny outing with them every single time..

************************************************************************************22 22 July 2005- My good college mate, Puan Aina, is pregnant & her baby is due in October. The doctor scanned & said that they are expecting a boy. So insyallah, the baby's name will be Aiman Daud. I felt & talked to the tummy, and the baby responded by kicking back! Yeay, the baby recognizes Aunty Meen! hehe.. Aina, semoga selamat bersalin okay?

23 July 2005- Kak Long literally booked me for today to spend the whole day with her. Since she was preparing for her engagement in September, our quest for the day was to find the perfect colour schemes for the ribbons & the perfect baju for the engagement. At SSF, we found the 3 good combinations of browns that would go well for the hantaran colour scheme. The green & gold ribbons would be the colour scheme from the boys side. After that, we headed to ShaNadz DeWagga Boutique to try out some baju kurungs/ kebayas. We liked this particular Baju Kurung Johor which has lovely lace boarders. But nothing is finallized yet, as kak long still wants to survey around for other designs & all. It's a shame that I won't be there during her engagement! Can't wait for the pics..

Birthdays birthdays!!

18 July 2005- If you ask my nephew how old he is, he will proudly say "twoooo..". Dzhofier turns 2 today, and he's a big boy already. We just have a small birthday celebration, just Abg Ikmal & family, Aunty Mah & family + our famliy of course. Dzhofier is one smart & cheeky lil fella, and he has grown so much now. He is beginnig to talk more+ more now. My grandma wanted to gave him some money, and Kak Ina said "Dzhofier, what do you say?", and he casually said "Pleease?" instead of "Thank you"! Haha..cute fella. Aunty Mah got him a 4-wheel drive car, and I got him a yellow dump truck, and he really loves it! "Than-thue miee-meen"! he said! gerammnye budak memeh nih...

19th July 2005- One birthday after another..today my lil' bro, Emer, turns 19. A funny story about his birthday card, I actually got him the exact same birthday card for his 17th birthday not long ago! Hah.. I guess the card really reminds me a lot about him...and its all about Farts! hehe.. Hope I won't repeat my mistake for next year! To celebrate his birthday, we ate at Fatty Crab for dinner. I haven't eaten at this place for about a year, so it was good choice to eat! yumm! Emer seemed really happy today..extra jovial & happy..good for him then, birthday boy!

the CRAZY weekend outings..

15 July 2005- Farah Syaz invited us to watch Jit Murad's stand-up comedy show at the Actors Studio in BSC. So we went, and boy it was hillarious! He makes all these racist + selamba jokes, but I think only certain types of people could appreciate his jokes. And suprising, there were many "Malay" jokes as well, which I pity the foreigners as they might not get the jokes at all. But we were all craking up anyway.. After the show, we waited outside & took pics with the man himself, Mr Jit Murad. He was a very friendly man, & he appologised us for his silly mistake of forgetting some parts of the script, hence the reason why the show ended earlier then expected. (Hmm..Go Figure..) The message that he wrote on my postcard was "Meen, Don't be too mean.." Haha, Like I've never heard that before..

Since we were all SO hungry, we decided to be adventurous & drive to Naili's Place to try the "dinner on the tree " experience. We got lost eventually, but found the place, but the "tree" was already been taken up! (There was only ONE miserable tree to sit on..sigh..) The food was not as great as I would imagine.. Maybe if could have dinner on the tree that might have make a difference. Perhaps next time then...

16 July 2005- Just for the fun of it, we all decided to experience watching AF concert LIVE from Stadium Bukit Melawati Shah Alam. There were 9 of us, we drove 2 cars. As we were walking towards the stadium after the carpark..there it was..the gerai2 were FILLED with 'Mawi World' tshirts & banners..it was a scary sight actually!! so fanatic la these fans.. Anyways, I've always love live shows: the crews running around checking lights & cameras, watching the people (or in this case, the fans) finding their seats, peeping the VIPs or artists who comes in -but the main thing was the adrenaline of watching the live show itself. We were all seated on the second level..it was a view, but can't help wishing that we were closer to the stage. The minute Aznil came out, the entire crowd screamed.. The fans took turns to shout out their idol.. but it obvious that 3/4 of the stadium were filled with Mawi fans.. perghh.. Overall, the show was okie lah..(could have been better obviously)..and yeah, maybe watching at the comfort of home is waayyy much better I reckon, but for the sake of experience, it was fun anyway.. Afundi Meen!

17 July 2005- Yes, as many of you have known, I am not from SRKDU.. I am a proud SRK Raja Muda-rian definately. But since most of my SMKDU friends were from SRKDU, I was insistedly invited (especially by Zaf & Shades as there were in the committee) to their 10 years reunion gathering, which was held in Kelana Jaya Seafood Court. Lucky thing I wasn't the only "non-SRKDU" around as Badique, Terk & Gwen joined my "clique"as well. In fact, some of these SRKDU ppl didn't show up, so our presence were needed anyway! hehe.. We had good seafood..The squids were delicious.. We have good company of friends...Some are working..some are still studying.. its good to meet up with old friends. There were no entertainment for the gathering due to time factor, but we 'entertained' ourselves with lots & lots of photo taking sessions.. *penat posing..hehe*

Shisha-king & KL Outing..

11 July 2005- Wan was kind enough to bring Adil & I to Hartamas Square for our first Shisha-king session. I was kinna scared at first, afraid that I'll cough a lot & all. But lucky thing I managed to get the hang of it..kinna. Still coughed here & there. Honestly, I feel like I'm in the set of "I dream of genie", without the costumes & all of course! My personal meessage to everyone : Try shisha, but smoking is bad for your health! Wan was also VERY kind enough (as he has always been) to belanje us for the shisha. Arigato Wan!

14th July 2005-I spent more than 12 hours in KL city itself! From morning right through dinner.. What a day! In the morning, I accompanied my mom to the KL Hospital for some check ups. Then, I met Adil at CM & we walked to Petaling St to buy DVDs. The tauke actually brought us to the "headquarters" were they kept all the DVDs..pretty spooky actually! But we got what we wanted.. I got all my favourite movies for free... (Buy 5 free 2..So we bought 30 I think! ). Next, we headed to KLCC for lunch, then walked to Adil's sis office to get the car. We then picked Haz's mom up from UKL, and followed her to the Bank Islam at Jalan Tuanku Abd Rahman to change Malaysian money to Aussie money. She then treated us tea at "Mejaaku", a Sarawakian restaurant in Maju Junction. I have to buy tickets for AF concert this saturday, so we went to Lot 10's Ticket Charge. Finally, Adil dropped me off at KLCC (again!) as Mama & Dad were already there to meet up with Uncle Aziz & his family. It was the first time I met Azam's sister, Aiman, who studies medic in Ukrain. Since we were already in KLCC, my family had dinner at Chilles. Fyuuhh.. what a day in KL..

Bowling & Brunch..

8th July 2005- Yes, the plan was to go to Sunway Piramid to play bowling. Why? Because there was this special offer for students, provided you bring your student ID. So Zaf, Zizi & I were already there, until the lady at the counter said "Hey, only for KL student only.. negeri atau negara lain tak boleh.." We were like.. "whhaaatt???", so much for the help lady! So we decided to bowl in OU's new bowling centre instead. Shades, Yasmin & Shima (whom I haven't seen since 2001!) joined us, and we had 2 crazy bowling games! I was as usual doing my "famous trademark" of lifting one foot up before & after I bowl.. (which happens to look like a ballerina tip toeing!). I did pretty well in the first game, but not too well in the 2nd. Maybe I was tired already (haven't bowled for ages..). We continued outing with a friendly foosball match, then 'jalan-jalan' as always around OU..

10th July 2005- Today I drove all the way to Shah Alam with Kak Long's Kelisa. It's fun driving a small car.. you tend to feel cute! hehee.. anyway, I picked up Aliah & Anita, both my classmates in standard 6! We headed to Plaza Shah Alam's Starbucks, and just chit chat about the happenings of each other's lives. After sending Anita back home, Aliah & I made a really quick memory-lane trip to our old school, SRK Raja Muda, which was so overwhelming! We were so excited to see our "6 Hijau" class from the school gates. But looking around the school, there's so many changes.. Can't believe that it has been 10 years since I stepped out from the school. Boy time flies! I also passed by my old house in section 3, which still looked the same from outside. Wonder who lives there now...

Bracelet & Cousin affair..

Today I went to 1Utama with Adil in search for a bracelet for Haz. On our arrival, I saw Zaf & Terk at the elevator going down, while Adil & I going up. I was supposed to meet with her tommorrow! Such coincidence.. After a quick photo session, and our "eating Roti Boy" session, we returned to the quest of searching the right bracelet for Haz. "Simple one, not too big, not too small" so she said, and boy it wasn't easy! From one store to another.. from one bracelet to another.. and finally, at Bonita, we saw a nice charmbracelet, with a "2 hearts in one" pendant at the side. Really pretty actually! Fyuuh, the quest was finally over..yeay..

ps: Haz, sorry I didn't take a pic of the bracelet. Didn't want to spoil the suprise! hehe..

At around 9pm, Mama, Emer & I headed to Tuk's house to bid farewell to Lan & Zu. The newly weds will be flying off to Queensland, Aussie to furthur their studies. I might visit them next year insyallah (after my awaiting Gold Coast trip!). Tuk served several delights:- kuih sejuk, pophia, cempedak goreng... yumm! Baby Suraya was the centre of attraction, but of course Sarah & Cici were being so adorable & were attracting everybody's attention as well! hehe.. Kak Long was showing me some wedding magazines in preparations for her engagement in September. She's planning her wedding already! Can't wait for that day to arrive..

My dearest Lan & Zu, good luck in Queensland! Have a safe flight ahead..

Here comes the Stomach Ache..

the lunch jokers.. Posted by Picasa

I had a very interesting lunch with 2 of my college mates, Married-man Khairul & Busy-man Zuhri. Khairul brought us to eat at this Curry House place near section 17. I think it was one of my first occassions to eat on a banana leaf, with lots of curries, yogurt, fried stuff, pumpedums..you name it! It was good food alright! Khairul talked about married life.. about the positive changes in him, about his wife.. he looks different as well, so happy & married! He gave us lots of good tips & advice about getting married, which clearly shows that he is in a different wavelength than us.. Good on him! Zuhri was being the usual Zuhri that he has always been.. Toli oh toli.. It was a great lunch indeed..

At 3pm, I reached home safely, but I made a shocking trip to the toilet.. over and over again.. right through 10pm! My stomach was in total "culture" shock, after eating all the food, not used to all the spice & curry of Malaysian food. Ishh.. I had to eat more pills to stop my stomach from aching, but it didn't work too well. My "Aussie" stomach was still at shock, so I didn't eat dinner that night. Not even a week since my arrival, and I already have fever, flue & stomach ache one after another.. this is the worst "sick" week ever!

...stop hoping..

Ok it's official..I'm obsessed with that song! The song that Keifli sang, which originally sang by Duta (sheila on 7). God knows how many times I listened to the song today.. I love the lyrics too! so emotionally intense & sad.. so yeap, it's my current favourite song!

Berhenti Berharap- Sheila on 7

Aku tak percaya lagi
Dengan apa yang kau beri
Aku terdampar disini
Tersudut menunggu mati

Aku tak percaya lagi
Akan guna matahari
Yang dulu mampu terangi
Sudut gelap hati ini

Aku berhenti berharap
Dan menunggu datang gelap
Sampe nanti suatu saat
Tak ada cinta kudapat

Kenapa ada derita
Bila bahagia tercipta
Kenapa ada sang hitam
Bila putih menyenangkan
ha... ha...

Reff :

Aku pulang....
Tanpa dendam....
Ku terima... kekalahanku...

Aku pulang...
Tanpa dendam...
Kusalut kan .. kemenanganmu...
wow..

Kau ajarkan aku bahagia
Kau ajarkan aku derita
Kau tunjukkan aku bahagia
Kau tunjukkan aku derita
Kau berikan aku bahagia
Kau berikan aku derita..

[female vocal]
ha.. ha.. ha...

[duta]
Aku pulang....
Tanpa dendam....
Ku terima... kekalahanku...

[female vocal]
Rebahkan kalbumu
Lepaskan perlahan
Kau akan mengerti
Semua..

[duta]
Aku berhenti berharap
Dan menunggu datang gelap
Sampai nanti suatu saat
Tak ada cinta kudapat..

Meen dah demam..literally!

I know what you're thinking..demam AF right? well, maybe getting there. But actually, I really had high fever! sigh.. talk about change of weather! Imagine, not only I have high fever, but I also have flue, cough,..the whole works! I am one sick lady! I went to see the doctor, and yes, he said I should rest & stay at home & stay away from children!this means I can't see dzhofier, sarah, cici & suraya just yet!boohoo~ And yes, I missed Farah's wedding! sighh.. Zaf was kind enough to take pics of the event, so here it is click. I ended up staying at home, on my living room coach & watching re-runs of AF. I saw yesterday's concert again, and boy Keifli was superb! I love that song!! I love the way he sang that song.. *grins!*

Last day in Adelaide..

Woohoo! The day that I've been waiting for since February..I'm going home! yeayy!!

The night before, I had trouble sleeping because I was kept on coughing the whole night through. I even woke up waayy before my alarm clock rang. sigh.. So, I did the laundry & cleaned my room. I even had time to walk to my next semester's kindigarten, which was about 10 minutes return walk from my place. It looks pretty okie I guess, I hope I'll be much happier here insyallah..

At about 11.30am, Max & Emma Spore came over to bid me farewell. Noranna was late due to traffic, so we (Emmas, Max & I) watched some comedy stuff from Emma's laptop. Mind you that these 3 friends of mine were still in their pajamas! *masamm..hehe* Noranna finally came at around 12.10pm, and we left Hartley's at 12.45pm to Adil's place. Since we still had time, Adil showed us around his hostel, which used to be a hospital. It was pretty scary place to live in, I wonder how Adil survived living there. At 1.40pm, we were queing up to check in, and Amy, Mai & Lydia were already there as they send off Mas earlier. I was pretty worried because we check in late, I was afraid that the bags will be overload and I thought Adil & I won't get seats next to each other. But Alhamdulillah, we managed to get the seats, the bags were okie, and everything was fine. We took last group pics together and we happily walked through the departure gate.

Since Adil is tall, he had to request for the front row seats, and boy I'm lucky to be able to sit next to him! The space of our legs were so spacious, similiar like the Business class seats! Mental note to myself when travelling on plance, get a very tall guy & request for front row seats = total comfy for the legs! There weren't any good movies shown on the plane, so talking was the best next thing to do!We spent most of the time talking on the plane, and only felt asleep on the last hour of the flight.

At around 8.15pm, we safety arrived KLIA. I saw Mama, Dad & Emer soon after, and it was great seeing them again after 5 months. In the car, I felt my body tempretature raising, but I just ignore it. We had dinner at home, and I managed to see the last 30 minutes of AF concert 5! hehe.. Hope to see the repeated show soon!
