Adil needed people to help sell off the remainng tix for the Malaysian Night event, so I voluntered (as always, being kind to friends! =p). He managed to get a booth at Victoria Square where they were having the "Penang week in Adelaide" cultural festival. There were cultural performances, nice delicious but VERY expensive Penang food, exhibitions & posters about Penang. At around 4 pm I was so hungry, I had no choice but had to order the $12 combo meal, which had Murtabak, satay, spring roll + teh tarik! Perrgh, one of the most expensive malaysian food lunch I've ever had (when converted), but okielah.. it was delicious.. At night, Adil, Haz + I got invitated for the Lord Mayor's reception for the Penang week. It was such an honour to go inside the Town Hall and to meet with all these very VIP people :- the Lord Mayor of Adelaide himself, the Exco member of Penang State Council, the Penang Municipal Councillors.. there were heaps of important people around! And the Town Hall was an interesting place to visit, with all those artifacts from the Queen Adelaide, potraits of the previous Lord Mayors & many more. It was an interesting experience indeed!

The next day was the official launching of Penang Week. Again the 3 of us we invited to eat at the VIP room, with all the delicious penang food for free! hehe.. Today we managed to sell about 6 tix all together, despite the rain & the strong wind! We became good friends with the people from the Tourism of Penang, Mr Teoh & Ashwin, and they nice enough to give us free coupons for our dinner. Yeay!
