Yumi's Life Stories: Meen's birthday party..

After lots of planning + considerations, I've finally decided to have a party to celebrate my birthday. And the best part is, I cooked the food :- ketam masak lemak, ayam panggang, ikan goreng, omelette and kuih sejuk.. It took me the entire day just preparing the food, cutting, blending and all. Oh yes, not forgetting with the help of Emma (who cooked chilli prawn + sayur goreng) , Miza (who made the cheesecake + keropok), Suci (who did the jemput2 pisang + corn , and cooked the rice), Aaron (who cooked the dumplings) and Syar who brought the strawberry sponge cake. There were heaps of food, great group of friends, great ambience (Aaron decorated my house and set the mood).. it was just perfect. =)

Halfway through before desserts, I organized a "Meen Quiz" to split them into 2 groups for the Charrades. The questions were:

1. Spell Dzhofier's name. - Nobody got this right! Some missing the "h", some missing the"e", etc
2. What is my Japanese name? - Yumi (Emma got it right!)
3. What's my current + previous favourite colour?- Pink + Purple (Aaron got it right)
4. Which states were my parents from? - Johor, Melaka + N9 (Suci got it right)
5. Whats my favourite drink from Boost?- Banana Buzz (after lots of guessing, Miza finally got it right!)
6. Who is my favourite aussitralian artists?- Guy Sebastian + Thristy Merc (again after lots of guessing, Adil got this right)

So once everybody were in the groups (which wasnt based from the quiz! perrghh.. pandai2 je tukar group members!), it was time for Charrades! The theme was 'song titles', so they have to act out the song titles by just using their body movements. Examples of the song titles were Falling, Macarena, Your body is wonderland, I believe I can fly.. just to name a few. Everybody had fun for sure..

Next was desserts time.. We had 2 delicious cakes, and everybody was so stuffed-up after that. We took pics, played Uno, hang out.. Oh yes, I got a Wish Bear from Emma, Miza + Suci, and Aaron gave me a nice plate filled with tiny shells + colourful scenic posters for my walls! Thanx peps!!

Overall , it was a GREAT + FUN party.. It has been quite sometime since I had a birthday party (last time was for my 19th birthday.. 3 years ago! goshh). I guess the thing that made this party a successful one was the "happening" people who made it possible..Thanx again everybody!
