Malaysian Night..

I've decided to pampere myself + asked Suci to paint my nails for the Malaysian Night event. It was my first time ever to have designed painted nails, so I was very excited about it! She painted purple flower over pink coated base for my hands, and for my feet she did a pink flower on each toe, and attempted a "rainbow" + the pink flower for the big toe. Since there were no yellow or green paint, so she just used red, white + blue as the rainbow. It kinna looks like a Thai flag huh? hehe...

2.30pm was my appointment with Suci. 5pm was my appointment with my make-up artist + mak-andam, my dearest friend Mai! hehe.. She loves make-up, and I took this oppurtunity to get her service to do me up! And within 45 minutes, taa-daaa! I didn't even recognize myself when I looked in the mirror! Wooaahh~ Mai, I will book you for future events kay! ;)

Mai, Afif + I took the 6.35pm bus to the city, and managed to reach the Dom Polski Centre by 7.10pm (We kinna got lost halfway.. ) All of us sat at Table #14, which was quite at the back of the hall. The hall was nicely decorated with yellow, blue + red ribbons + helium-gas balloons. Most of the girls dressed up in Baju Kurung + Baju Kebaya, and here we are dressed in skrits + dresses! I wore all black, with a dash of brown here & there..

After the speeches, everyone stood up to sing our national anthem, "Negaraku". It felt like school assemblies again! Somehow the buffet food was served rather late, so we hungry people took pictures around the hall while waiting for the food. The food was good:- acar, beef rendang, ayam pandan.. etc. While eating, there were band performances + cultural shows. If only they had a better sound system, I'm sure the show will be more entertaining. And yes, lucky Table #14, we won 2 lucky draws! To be fair, we distributed the prize (food stuff) among ourselves.. Aaron & I picked the best choice, the M&M Tub + the Sparkling Juice! hehe..

After some karaoke sessions from the committee members (singing some patriotic theme song & all), everyone urgent home. But not for me, Adil, Haz, Ina and the rest of the committee, as we had to stay back to clean up! perrghh.. We managed to get free Coke & desserts leftovers, and some of the Malaysian posters that was put up on the walls. It was about 1.30am when we left the building, and it was so hard to get a cab that night. Finally around 2am, we reached Haz's house safe + sound.. What a night!
