Clothes theme...

I had a very interesting week in school. The July theme for my 5-year-olds is about Clothes. So my very creative teachers seek my permission to have some fun activities for the children (credits goes to them!)

We had a day called "Spacial costume day" where the children (and teachers) are allowed to wear any special costume for that day..

I decided to wear... my SUPERMAN t-shirt!
And, I had my gang too~ We're the "Flying Squad"- the superwoman, the batman & the bumblee bee! Others wore traditional costumes & casual wear..

We also had a 'Pajama Party'. All the children (and the class teachers) wore their pajamas for that day. It was pretty cool to drive to work in your pajamas! I wanted to wear my khafton, but since its so berkoyak at the wrong places, so I wore my nice satin pajamas instead!

Side track a little bit.. at the mist of the party, my administrator called me downstairs as there was an enquire from a new parent. As I stepped into the office, the father looked at me up & down.

"Sorry sir.. The 5-year-olds are having a pajama party upstairs. That's why I'm dressed this way!"

He must be thinking this principal is one crazy lady to dress that way.. hehe..

Anyways, the children were so adorable in their pajamas. They also brought along their teddy bears, pillows, blankets, and also their bantal busuk! I brought along my bulat-ness Harry bear, which the children adore! We had games (musical chairs, statue dance & lucky draw), we had lotsa food. And, upon the children's request, I told them a bedtime story before their 10 minutes nap time. After laying the bedsheets on the floor, the lights were off and everyone snuggled in for a quick nap (which didn't last too long, as they were all busy chatting among themselves). Next, my teacher blew the whistle, and it was time to get up! The kids really enjoyed themselves that day!

I have a new hobby now... READING!

Yes, kicking back the reading habit again.. hopefully this time it will succed. Everytime I go home now, I just wanna snuggle up in bed or on my arm chair & read the book.

I bought 3 new books.

1) To kill a Mocking Bird

2) The Pact by Jodi Piccoult

3) and my current reading.. The Time Traveller's Wife

I hope am able to finish the 3 books before my big day..

which is.. 5 months from now..

that uneasy feeling..

If you have seen Sex & the City Movie, remember there is this scene in the beginning part of the movie, after Big agreed to get the penthouse, and Carrie was telling her friends about it?

"For now, can you stop worrying for me, and just go ahead and feel what I want you to feel.. JEALOUS.. ohh.. jealous of me living in this gorgeous penthouse in Manhattan.."

"Alright.. am jealous.."

I mean, we all learn from our moral & religious values that we should be thankful for what we have, and be happy for those who have more. God is always fair, some may get more, some may get less. And if we don't get more, we should compare ourselves with those who gets less, right?

Maybe God is testing me.. testing my patience and my thankfulness. Ever since I got to know about Ms Taylor*'s latest news, I feel somewhat jealous. Not the good jealous, but the "green-eyed" jealous. I know I should be happy for her, but the jealously weights more at the moment. And I don't like one bit of it... perrgghhh..

Ishh.. I don't wanna be those ppl who "bermasam muka" or "menyampah" with anyone, with all those hatred thought or feelings with one another. NO NO NO.. But, why I am feeling this way? Dah jadi rezeki dia, biarkan ajelah right? She deserves it, right? But why do I feel so miserable inside?Why do I feel that I have to compete with her? Sighh..

Even when I was talking to Mr Bert earlier, I had this uneasy feeling.
"Why you feeling that way? Is it because of me? Did I do anything wrong?"
It was sweet that he thinks it was his fault. I didn't have the heart to tell him..not yet at least.
"No, it's not you.. I dunno.. "
"Okay.. you just have to know that I love you so much..now go get some sleep"

That certainly cheered me up. :)

Ya Allah..lemmie be strong, and overcome this unnecessary emotions that I am feeling right now. I am thankful & grateful for all You have given. Please let me move on & be happy for her sincerely. Please take away all this hatred. Sesungguhnya Kau yang Maha Adil dan Masa Mengetahui..Ameen..

New Fort

Today, I came home early after work.
Was supposed to go to the gym, but I went to HQ to send some documents, so since I was already near the highway, I went home early.
Mr Bert called around 6.30pm, sounded fairly calm & chirpy.
Usually when he is like this, he is in a good mood.
He has been telling me about this project he's been working on.. and tomorrow is the first step.
So I guess, he is looking forward for it..
If he gets this, Insyallah it will be better start for our future. Looking forward to that.

Lately, my foot has been rather itchy.
Like the saying goes.. "kalau gatal tangan, nak dapat duit. kalau gatal kaki, nak pi jalan la tuh.."
Alhamdulillah... in one month's time.. I will go for a (very short) vacation!
I am bringing Papa to meet my future in laws, and am tagging my siblings along..
It will be Dzhofier's first airplane flight (believe it or not!)
It's only 2 days, but I know I can't wait for the yummy food & the hospitality that awaits..
Sayangnye masa tuh bulan puasa.
Oh well, puasa or non-puasa, New Fort, here we come.. (^_^)

montage video

A timeoff from work. Naughty mie-meen!
I woke up this morning at 6.45! Thats super late kay!!
I managed to shower & get dress (less make up), didn't have time to eat breakfast or pack my lunch.
Must be the morning rain.. it's so nice to be able to sleep in..

Yesterday I met the videographer.. a pleasant guy indeed.
He showed me some of his work.. pretty impressed.
I showed him my mock videos.. he said he can enhance it better, no prob.
He understood the effects that I wanted (I was doing more of a sound effects, and he gave me the correct video terms for it).
Yes.. we've booked him for the wedding!

After discussion with him, my video will turn out a little bit different from what I have imagined.
But it should be okay, he knows whats best.
Am pretty excited for it.. (for the additional effects & such).
Will need to meet up with him in November.. provided I have ALL the pictures for the montage to give him.

Both montage will be a "suprise" for Mr Bert, as he wanted me to suprise him.
Hope he'll love this suprise.. :)

Wow.. this is post #400.. woohoo~

Anyways, today was a fun but tiring day..
In the morning I was out as I needed to buy the nasi lemaks & go to the bank.
Then, it was Mama & me in the kitchen.. until the guests arrived.

Everyone wore their attires.. Shasha ought to be given the best dressed award. hehe..
Lunch was served:- nasi lemak & soto ayam.
Desserts: Rambutans.. and 'Optimus Prime' butter cake.
On the cake were the '23632' number candles which indicates Emer's, Dzhofier's & Mr Bert's age.
Oh yes, today's is Emer's bday.. oh little one! (who now has a big tummy..)

After a short break, we continued with our Charades.
My mom & I couldn't join the games caused.. we were the ones who planned it.
I became the time keeper.
Oh boy..everyone had a galla time..
Man & Emer were laughing like no one's business..
Mr Bert sampai tergolek2 gelak on the floor.. hehe..
We all became very tired of laughing throughout the time..
It was really fun! Next time, I wanna join in!

Overall..it was a fun happy day.. everyone stayed back until 9pm.
Now I am laying on the bed.. dreading the thought of going work tmrw.. (-_-)
Glad the weekend turned out to be great!

wedding meetings..

Today was filled with wedding-related meetings.

12pm-met the pelamin & caterer person.
The pelamin guy gave an "okay" quote.. but we hope that we'll get some "extras" from him.
He even brought some flower samples. He'll look for more samples.
Will be meeting with him before puasa starts.

The caterer gave quite a 'high rate' for the nikah. although lots of inclusive things.
Might need to cut down on the dishes to get a better rate.

As they were leaving, my mom & I met our new next door neighbour.
They might be moving in soon.
And they are planning to do some landscaping, right next to our house where we plan to put the khemah. So our khemah location needs to be changed.
Dang.. need to think of plan B.

At 4pm, we met the tailor.
We decided to change the reception attire from kurung modern to kebaya modern. He agreed.
He tried to pursuade us to let him make my baju nikah & baju bertandang.
But, my mom said that she prefers to save that money for other things rather than spending on 2 more baju.
She's right. I shall not demand further.
Will be meeting up with him on 2nd day of raya for my 1st fitting.
I still have about 2 months to lose a few more kilos..wish me luck.

My nephew turns 6 today..
Happy Birthday Dzhofier! You've grown so much, from the little baby who now has transformed into a big boy! We wish you lots of joyous & fun happenings being a six year old! Lots of love, Mie-Meen & Uncle Moon.. xoxo

Mr Bert's Bday!

As planned, we had our japanese buffet lunch at Sagano Restaurant, Renaissance Hotel.

Itadakimasu!
Mr Bert had 6 rounds total, I only had 3 rounds.
Sushi.Tempura.Sahshimi.Oysters.Teriyaki Chicken.etc etc..
I took my very own sweet time to eat, enjoying every bite.
As for desserts, I had ice kacang, Mr Bert had green tea ice cream, and we shared some cake assortments..
It was a relaxing lunch.. we were there for about 2 hours.. and we left with very full tummies!

To my dearest fiance, Mr Bert..
Am sorry cause I didn't get you any presents this year, but you'll be getting your hantarans later this year.
Sorry I didn't get you a birthday cake, but we'll be cutting one soon on our wedding day.
Nevertheless, thank you dia..thank you for being so wonderful.. I couldn't ask for more from you..
I can't wait to be your wife Insyallah..

where art thou island?

"Meen.. just to inform you..my friends are planning to do my Bachelor's outing at Krabi Island."
"KRABI?? BESTNYEE~ *muka jealous* Okay fine, will ask Shades to do my hen's night overseas too.. :p"
"This means...am getting your blessings right? Thank you Darling..."

Wah wah wah.. Mr Bert & friends are really planning ahead. *still muka jealous*
I know Shades is planning something superb too for my hen's night. (Don't worry shades.. It is not where we'll be, is WHO we're with, right? *winks*)
We're planning to go to a beach-y place too..Cuti2 Malaysia!

Speaking of that.. Mr Bert has finally opened up the topic of honeymoon! *jumps with joy*
Well, we're still at the "surveying" stage..but hey, at least I know the rough location.
At the moment, am looking the the honeymoon package that each hotel offer. What's important, the package must include:-

1) return airport transport
2) daily breakfast buffet
3) 1 romantic candlelight dinner
4) spa treatment for 2

But of course, additional things like cruise trips/ free gifts/ pre-set bath tubs will be fantastic as well, but the price range varies from hotel to hotel.
I've narrowed down some options. Now need approval & confirmation from Mr Bert.
Also, we need to look at the air tix.. looking at MATTA fair rates for sure.

Alhamdulillah, am glad that I will have my honeymoon trip Insyallah.. (^_^)

A little update bout the wedding.
My mom has decided on the main table gifts.
Flower girl's dresses have been bought.
I will have my Khatam Quran a day before my nikah.
Nikah will be held at home.
That's all..for now... *gulps*
