Yumi's Life Stories: New Year + Peterpan..

For new year's, I celebrated at Hartamas Square with Wan, Adil & Mie (Wan's cuz's fren). We wanted to chill near where the band were performing, but unfortunately all tables were taken. So we had to settle with the TV screening a football match between MU and another England team. We had lots of freebies; maskes, blowers, balloons, even a free polaroid picture taken of the 4 of us. At the stroke of midnight, there were fireworks & all, of course not as grand as the ones in KLCC or elsewhere. After Wan's college friend performed (his band was an alternative-rock band), we headed to Devis where we met up with Wan's other cousins. We chilled around till about 4.30am.. A rather easy-going new year celebration..just chiling with your mates.. ;)

12 hours after the celebration, I walked to my neighbour, Dayang's house to get a ride with her to PeterPan's concert. I've dream of going to their concert since last year (haha..2005 was SO last year!), and woohoo, I'm SO going for it! We picked up Shades, headed to Zaf's house for a light tea, and off we go to Stadium Merdeka. And guess what, it rained.. HEAVILY. Lucky thing Zaf brought those big black plastic bags to cover ourselves as raincoats. But then again, we were still wet anyway.. Shades' ex-students were there too, so we had bodyguards.. =) We stayed at the "sitting" area, not among the crowd who were in front of the stage. They were..kinna scary.. ANYWAYS, opening act were Pretty Ugly + Gerhana Ska Cinta.. and finally, Peterpan performed! Woohoo~ I LOVE it when they perfomed Bintang di Syurga, Katakan dengan Indah (with special apperance by Too Phat!), Tentang Kita.. too many to mention, come to think of it! Ariel, the lead singer, was SO cute! hehe.. I think if I was among the crowd infront of the stage, the feel would be more surreal.. but, for safety reasons, it was best if I stayed at the sitting area. Bottomline, Peterpan performed well..and they ROCK! woohoo~
