Kelly Clarkson Breakaway Tour Concert...

It was just a spur of the "Moment like this" when we decided to go for this concert.. I only knew that Adil + Haz "Ms Independent"-ly bought the tickets a week before the show, which really shocked me, and it is all "Because of you" Kelly! We thought our seats will be at the "Low"-er ground, but we were right on top, but it was still a good view of the stage. The show started off with Rouge Traders, an aussie band who is popular with their hit song "Voodoo Child".. Then, "Behind these hazel eyes", Kelly "Come out" in front of the Adelaide crowd, and everyone "Hear me" loud + clear and "Breakaway"...and the entire concert was a "Beautiful Disaster"..."Since you've been gone" Kelly, we're all have been "Addicted" to you.. and that's the "Trouble with Love"-ing her music =)

Deeparaya open house..

Hema + Roshan organized a "deeparaya" celebration at her house on the 2nd day of raya. I knew that the open house starts at 7pm, but I was so tired from prac that I fell asleep until Roshan called me asking "Hey, you're coming right?". Oppssy...so I arrived at their house at 8.30pm..There were lots of good food; mongolian lamb, fried mee, sambal egg, choc cakes... Most of the guest were my juniors in HELP, all discussing about their exams.. (Been there, done that..=P) It was all good...;)

Aidilfitri Celebration in Adelaide..

" Di hari raya..terkenang aku kepada si dia..."

Aduhh..syahdu.. Well, the night before I was listening to raya songs while updating my folder for my prac, and Emma + Miza were busy cooking raya dishes in the kitchen. My mom called me, telling me that she's cooking nasi beryani & Dad is making ketupat...sighh..I couldn't control my tears when both my parents said "It's ok Meen..Just 4 more weeks and we'll meet again Insyallah.." Boohoo~ I was felt so lonely & sad at that moment, crying my heart out.. (plus listening to Raya song *especially Takbir raya * wasn't making things easy). This is the 2nd time I celebrate Raya in Adelaide, and it is not the same without having your family around.. I miss them so much!

Anyway,di pagi raya, I was in kindi, busy with the 4 year olds.. Today, they all made their own "duit raya" envolopes, and I suprised them by putting chocolate coin in their envolopes. Adil + Haz came by to the kindi, as I wanted to expose the children to our traditonal costumes. Some kids tried the songkok, tudung, kain pelekat & sarung batik..and they look so cute in it! I also taught them the "salam" before they could get their duit raya! hehe.. Suprisingly, I had a good time in kindi, feeling extra joyous & happy around the kids.. The festive mood really cheered me up..=)

After kindi, we went to Croydon Park as Mai, Mas & Lydia had their open house today. After our berjemaah prayers, we feast ourselves with the delicious sambal, tom yam, tandoori chicken + the Bavarian cheesecake.. yumm yummm...At night, I went back home to celebrate raya with the girls, Miza & Emma.. Since I was just too full to eat any of their cookings (except for Emma's biskut cornflakes), we played bunga api instead..we all felt like little kids all over again! hehe.. Much later in the night, I had a terrible stomach ache.. perrghh.. I think I ate too much for 1 day, after a whole month of fasting..mental note: Don't over-eat on hari raya! It ain't good when the stomach ache kicks in...;)
