Pride & Prejudice + Amy's Bday..

I can't believe I spent most of my day watching Jane Austin's Pride & Prejudice on DVD! I thought it was gonna be like a 2 hour movie, then I can spend time doing other stuff..err, aparently NOT! It's like a mini-series, 6 episodes to be exact..Imagine, from 10.30am,(eating breakfast) till almost 4pm (had my lunch in between)..woahh.. that's enough of english literature for that day! (Thank god theres english substitiles, or else I could be lost in those dramatic english expressions!)

Overall, its a good movie..There's lots of the life aspect being portrayed in the movie (about rich people, status, families, love..etc) and of course the best part of the movie was Colin Firth..There's also lots of similiarities between his character in P&P + also Bridget Jones Diary.Their character names are the same (Mr Darcy), and the fact that the he acted "cold & bitter" at first, but actually have fallen in love with the leading actress from the very beginning (maybe Bridget Jones is a modern version of P&P..perhaps..)Ok,I know there are other hot looking actors in Hollywood, but when Colin Firth wears the Tux..woaaahh..I almost melt!! I admit it..I LOVE GUYS IN TUX! (and turtle necks too! hehe..) He looks so DASHING in the tux! *meen fainting away..literally! =P *

LOVE this part..when he was watching her from afar.. *meen melts*Posted by Hello

Man in Tux..dashing as always..=D Posted by Hello

tux for wedding? hmm.. I am highly considering it...Posted by Hello

************************************************************************************* Ok, enough with man in Tux..about an hour after my movie marathon, I rushed to the city to join Amy, her cuz & Mai for her bday..We met at Pancake house ( sadly I didn't order any panacakes..was too full to eat! Had Iced Choc though..) So, we just sat at the corner of the shop, and chat..chat...and chat.. Then, since I didn't get Amy a prez (gave her a lil card + a pass for a comedy act), I decided to treat her for some Subway (Double Deal combo! yeay!) I bought for myself as well, cheese steak & seafood! (2 footlongs = 4 '6 inches' sandwiches = 4 lunch/ dinner!) so, thats good, save time to cook for this week! :D

cRuz

I have a school friend who was really into Posh Beckham since..forever! He'll go buy her albums, mags about her, etc. Anyway, Posh gave birth to a baby boy recently, and she named him Cruz. Now, my friend's name is Ruz. So, he was over the moon when she named the baby cRuz! (see the extra "C" infront of the name?) haha.. he was SO proud about it! I find it amusing & felt happy for him! what such conincidence! Good for you, mr cRuz! =P

the lunch & dinner affair..

I didn't have to cook at all today! yeay!

For lunch, I had Knoodle with my Bruneian friends, Suci & Noranna. I ordered the BIG portion cause I was just too hungry (didn't eat breakfast, you see..) so we munch..munch..munch.. and chat..chat..chat.. from 1-6 pm! haha.. and of course, when I'm with Noranna, I can't help but to have our fav Boost! I reckon she's like a positive Boost reinforcer for me.. Whenever there's Noranna= there's Boost Juice! hehe..yumm~

Aaron called me up later that day, asking me to have dinner at his place. So at 7pm, I headed to his place and wow, what a feast! He did some bak choy dish, baked potatoes & pasta + cheese, which was very impressive! We managed to finish everything clean! =) And yes, not forgetting to mention about his very cozy & nicely decorated apartment! He has some pictures of Malaysian fruits on the wall (which was really tempting! I want Mangosteen now!), some 'ducks', postcards (like me), etc.. He has good sense of decoration. It was a very enlighting dinner indeed!

Emma's leaving on the jetplane..

Emma (my beloved & dearest housemate) flew back to KL today. So now, for the entire month or so, I have the entire apartment to myself. Good thing? Hmm, maybe not. It will be rather quiet here without Emma. Last night, Kat joined us for our last Parisis Marinara Pizza dinner while watching 'Heaven on Earth' DVD. I felt so sympathetic for Josh Harnett's character, but no doubt Chris Klein was so aduring & good looking! hehe.. *Emma, you will be missed!*

Yesterday, I had delicious free food (veggie burger & hotdogs & pizzas) for lunch. I was also told last minute about the OPM (Online Peer Mentoring) meeting, but it wasnt really a meeting. Everyone ended up just talking about the respective countries. (Sweeden, Turkey, Bangladesh, Singapore..not forgetting the beloved Malaysia~) Kinna like a little 'geography & history' class, in a MUCH more interactive way..=)

As for today, I had my first aid traning for my prac. Through out the entire course, it brought back memories of my PBSM days! Those 'kain anduh'- tying the knots-memorizing the diff types of fractures- recovery position- R.I.C.E- CPR days.. *sigh* (ps: only my PBSM friends would remember these terms as well!) The course was definately a good refreshment for my first aid knowledge, cause it has been AGES since I've practice those skills. Boy, I miss those days..~

Being locked out of my room..and 50 first dates..

I was eating dinner with Juliet when Aaron drop by.
He wanted to play with Kaka & Dida.
He opened the back door, and my room door was opened.
Later, he went to the living room to talk to Juliet.
The wind was quite strong.
It blew, and my room door was shut.
My room key was inside my room.
Emma's room was lock as well.
*AAARRRGGHH*
So, Juliet, Aaron & I headed to the Security Office at the office to take a new key.
Then, we went back home.
I managed to open the door, and took the 'old key' with me instead of the new key.
I went to the living room to talk to Juliet.
Not even 5 minutes later, the room was shut again thanx to the wind.
Tried to open it with the old key, but couldn't.
It needs the NEW key to open it.
Again, I was locked from outside of my room.
Twice in the same nite.
Damn.. *sigh*
I have no choice but have to wait for Emma to come home so that I can go thru her room to my back door & open my room door.
Confusing? Whatever..
What a nite..

To get thru the nite, Emma Spore dropped by to accompany me to watch '50 first dates' DVD..
Believe it, I've never watch it.
Everyone has been telling me that it is a SUPERB movie to watch.
One friend of mine watched it over & over again in the plane.
2 of my GUY friends actually CRIED watching it.
so yeah, I HAVE to watch it.
And so I did..and I LOVE IT!
The movie is so colourful..and romantic..
The animals were cute!
*and yeah, I think it is kinna a "guy" movie..hehe*
and please tell me, where can I find a guy who can make a gal fall in love with him every single day? hehe..
This movie is definately in my "Favourite movies" list..
and I'm gonna watch the movie again..and again..and again.. =P

Practicum Placement!

For this sem, my practicum placement will be at University of Adelaide's Childcare Centre! yeay! I will be taking charge of kids between 0-3 years old. (Think lots of little Dzhofier all over the place!) So, from next week onwards, every Thursday, I have to be in the centre from 9-5pm. Then, the last 2 weeks of June, I have to go there EVERYDAY! haha.. I'm quite excited about this prac. Wish me luck! ~

My first online parcel..

The other day, I wanted to just "experiment" & try buying something online. I've bought airline tickets & paid bills online, but I've never purchase any item online. So, I was quite anxious & nervous when I did it, feeling a lil guilty as well. Anyway, about 2-3 weeks has passed, and today, I got a notification card from the post office, indicating theres a parcel for me. So I went there..and taa daa~ it was the 3 cute & adorable Care Bears that I've ordered!! *Atatatatatatatatataaaa* I didn't aspect them to arrive so soon, all the way from US.. They're SO adorable!! I have a soft spot for the little Brave Heart Lion. *shys away* I wished I had ordered Cheer Bear for myself! (but then again, I have TOO many bears already!). So jakun man! Will attempt more things in ther future, I hope! (nak Cheer Bear~ hehe)
